Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Thursday and Friday from 10 AM - 7 PM, with some weekends required

Job Description:

Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach is seeking a dedicated and talented individual with experience in activities and recreational therapy for our senior population, particularly in our memory care department. This role is ideal for someone who has a flexible work schedule and a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement, and lead recreational activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction among seniors.

- Collaborate with the memory care team to develop individualized activity plans that support residents' cognitive and emotional well-being.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed to meet residents' needs.

- Maintain a safe and organized activity space, ensuring all materials and equipment are in good condition.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with seniors, particularly in activities and recreational therapy.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some weekends.

- A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine love for working with the senior population.
