Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a specific production area or team within a manufacturing facility. Their primary objective is to ensure efficient operations, maintain product quality, and meet production targets while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Compensation: $85,000-$100,000

What you will be doing

  • Scale of Responsibilities
    While the specific scale of responsibilities can vary depending on the company and the complexity of the production process, here are some common areas where a Production Supervisor 1 might have significant impact:
  • Team Management:
    • Supervising a team of 10-20 production workers
    • Scheduling shifts and assigning tasks
    • Training and developing employees
    • Conducting performance reviews and addressing disciplinary issues
  • Production Operations:
    • Monitoring production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
    • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and production issues
    • Implementing process improvements to optimize productivity
    • Coordinating with other departments, such as engineering and quality control
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections
    • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards
    • Investigating and reporting accidents and near-miss incidents

About you

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred)
  • Three to five  years manufacturing experience, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Significant technical background and skills to manage and develop the department(s)
  • Interpersonal skills that promote a high level of communication and understanding
  • Ability to work in and promote a team environment
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a positive environment
