SAIC is looking for a Junior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the STARS team in Huntsville, AL/Redstone Arsenal.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support the implementation of security measures in compliance with federal laws, regulations, and guidelines, including FISMA, NIST, and other relevant policies
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updating of security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Assist in managing Tenable.SC systems reporting
- Assist in management of Endpoint Security Suite (ESS)
- Participate in the identification and remediation of system vulnerabilities
- Work collaboratively with other security team members to ensure cohesive security operations
- Communicate security-related issues and status updates to senior ISSOs and management
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree
Required Clearance:
- An Active Secret Security Clearance
Required Certification:
- Active and maintain at minimum a DoD 8140 Cybersecurity Certification (Security+ CE)
Required Skills:
- Experience using or validating monitoring tools such as HBSS, ACAS, SIEMs, and others
- Strong working knowledge of Cyber Security practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, eMASS, HBSS)
- Ability to work with the customer in a team environment
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Desired experience working in special access programs
