We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and technically skilled Quality Control Technician to support continuous improvement (Kaizen) and eliminate waste (Muda) by ensuring automotive components meet strict quality standards. Working at the source (Gemba), you’ll perform hands-on inspections, testing, and data analysis to drive product excellence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical, mechanical, and functional tests using specified protocols.
Record and analyze data using statistical software; report findings.
Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for Kaizen.
Submit parts for CMM layout and compile results for engineering review.
Manage trial part inventory and ensure proper identification and status.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated instruments.
Conduct audits and product/component layouts at the Gemba.
Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding quality concerns.
Review trial products against standards; update part status.
Draft inspection instructions for Quality Engineer approval.
Desired Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
2+ years in automotive or manufacturing quality roles.
Familiarity with Lean principles and Kaizen / continuous improvement tools.
