The purpose of the class is to play a crucial role in ensuring the collection of delinquent taxes related to traffic violations, including parking tickets, speed camera citations, and red-light violations. This position works independently developing work methods and sequences under the supervision of the Senior Deputy III.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires graduation from high school or successful completion of GED. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
- Five (5) years of full-time equivalent experience in the collections field, including clerical and technical accounting functions or closely related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
Additional Requirements
The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
