We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. What does a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR do?
- Provide Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the Service Desk.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
- Monitor server performance and escalate issues to the Systems Engineering team as needed.
- Manage and troubleshoot services such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), DHCP, DNS, and file/print services.
- Maintain system backups and endpoint software utilities.
- Work with the Systems Engineering team to support IT infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure through research and training.
What is required?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Or in lieu of a degree you must have 4 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
Certifications:
- Preferred- Microsoft Certified, Azure Fundamentals, CCNA, CompTIA Network+.
Experience:
- Understanding of computer hardware, Windows/Linux operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, Python).
- Exposure to virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (preferably Azure) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP/DNS, and Microsoft 365 services.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong documentation and research skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
