Description
The Activities Coordinator will design and deliver a dynamic, resident-centered activities program that supports each resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in line with their comprehensive assessment and care plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule, and oversee both group and individual activities tailored to residents’ preferences and abilities, aligned with their comprehensive assessment and care plan
- Ensure the activities program supports independence, community engagement, and social interaction
- Maintain thorough documentation, integrate activities into care plans, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and clinical team members to evaluate effectiveness and update activities programming.
- Ensure availability of safe, well-equipped activity spaces that comply with environmental standards
- Position may include responsibilities outside of the Activities, including but not limited to: transporting residents to appointments, maintaining facility data and charts, and filling in as needed other operational positions.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 3pm
Pay: $19-20/ hr
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year experience leading life enrichment activities
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to pass a background check
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong Desire to work with vulnerable populations
- Strong Computer Skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Activities Professional (CAP) or similar credentials.
- Experience working in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings.
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct assessments, track outcomes, and adapt programming to resident feedback.
