Job Description
BeVera Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Visual Communication & Multimedia Support specialist. The Visual Communication & Multimedia Support Specialist will support the Defense Health Agency Research & Development – U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (DHA R&D-MRDC) Strategic Communications team by producing high-quality, mission-relevant visual media products.
Duties include photographing official events, capturing headshots of senior leadership, filming interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The specialist will also assist in developing creative concepts for mission-focused content and collaborate with government and contractor teammates to ensure deliverables meet brand, quality, and accessibility standards. Content will be prepared for multiple formats including PowerPoint presentations, websites, YouTube, trade shows, and social media platforms, ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements and Department of Defense (DoD) communications guidelines.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communications, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or related field, and 3+ years of professional experience in photography, videography, and multimedia production; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in capturing high-quality photographs and videos in both controlled and live event environments. Edit videos and deliver files in a timely manner.
- Maintain the ability to take well-composed photos while covering events. Conduct basic photo editing and select best possible photos to accompany articles and social media posts. Capture high-quality headshots for Senior Leaders & Command team as required.
- Capture video interviews with Subject Matter Experts as needed, as well as additional “B-roll” footage from visits, events, and scenarios, and edit multimedia products for various platforms, and maintain internal digital asset catalogs of video content which can be utilized in a variety of products.
- Regularly propose new content ideas working with contractor and Government teammates to highlight the command’s research initiatives.
- Maintain and populate Social Media sites with militarily relevant content after close coordination with the DHA R&D-MRDC’s Strategic Communications team as needed.

Conditions of Employment
- Work Location: Position is located on-site in Fort Detrick, MD. Must reside in Frederick, Maryland or surrounding area to meet duty location requirements.
- Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work outside normal duty hours may be required to meet mission needs.
- On-Call and Holiday Coverage: Weekend and federal holiday on-call support may be required.
- Telework: Telework is at the discretion of the Government and requires prior approval. The standard expectation is on-site presence.
- Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including travel outside normal business hours, to fulfill mission objectives.
- Government-Furnished Equipment: All required equipment, software, telephone, and office space will be provided by the Government.
- Training: Must complete training on Government financial systems and program management systems as required for the position.
- Information Assurance Certification: Must possess and maintain the appropriate and current Information Assurance (IA) certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M prior to performing IA functions.
