As Business Unit Automotive & Speciality Lamps we support our vision and strategy by expanding our leading position in the automotive lighting market in OEM and Aftermarket. We are in a global leadership position in the automotive lamps business in traditional and LED applications and offer industry leading products in LED lighting to global OEM customers (e.g. with exchangeable LED light sources). We also tackle new growth opportunities in the Aftermarket with our automotive care and equipment portfolio.

Your new responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Create and develop automotive lighting components and assemblies, including headlights, taillights, interior lighting, and fixtures.
  • Design verification: Conduct feasibility studies to ensure designs meet functional requirements.
  • Thermal and Structural Analysis: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for thermal management and structural integrity.
  • Modeling and Drawings: Utilize CAD software for freeform surface modeling and create detailed 2D drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Oversee tooling kick-off, data exchange, and design of gauges and fixtures.
  • Project Management: Manage program timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams
  • Manufacturing support: Support to production teams on an as-needed basis to increase material efficiency and prevent quality issues.


Who we are looking for


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or a relevant field
  • 3+ Years of experience in similar positions preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of product development processes and prototyping
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, instrumentation, or lab procedures
  • CAD Software: Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools for creating detailed product drawings.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PP with strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, marketing, etc.)
