DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We are hiring a full-time Private Equity Intern (Asset Management) for the Fall 2025 semester, with the ability to extend beyond that.
Under the direction of the Private Equity Portfolio Manager, you will provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of DMBA's private equity and non-investment grade debt investments, as well as assist with producing various investment reports. As part of the Private Equity Team, you will also complete ad hoc projects, analyze valuations, and participate in various private equity manager meetings.
Education Requirements:
Prefer finance, statistics, accounting, or business majors with a strong aptitude for quantitative analysis (VBA preferred), or someone working towards an MBA or a master's degree in a related field (e.g., economics, accounting, finance, or statistics).
Experience Requirements:
- Top academic performance
- Relevant private equity/capital markets knowledge and experience
- Great working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft Excel and Access
- Demonstrated ability to think critically in an analytical setting
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
- Ability to effectively communicate, work as a team member by being flexible and humble
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Progress towards achieving the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare private equity and non-investment grade debt investment memos for presentation to the manager review committee.
- Assist the Private Equity Team in preparing reports and investment data for presentation to DMBA's investment committees.
- Analyzes and presents financial, economic, valuation and attribution figures to the Portfolio Managers.
- Performs other assignments as requested and proactively identifies value adding projects and initiatives.
Special Skills:
Experience with Pitchbook a plus.
