Description

Summary of Job Duties: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Deductions Associate to support our sales team with a focus on credits, deductions, and general account reconciliation. Under general supervision of the Business Development Manager, this role will provide accounting and clerical support to ensure positive customer relationships through efficient and accurate resolution of deduction-related issues.

Specific Job Duties: 

  1. Review and process customer credit requests and deductions in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Partner and support the Key Account Managers and sales team to gather support documentation and validate deductions.
  3. Investigate and resolve issues related to short-pays, chargebacks, pricing discrepancies, and freight claims.
  4. Collaborate with the Accounting Department as necessary to ensure timely and accurate processing of credits.
  5. Maintain organized records of all credit and deduction activities for audit and reporting purposes.
  6. Assist with accounts receivable activities, including reconciliation of customer accounts and following up on outstanding items.
  7. Analyze trends in customer deductions and assist with developing preventative strategies.
  8. Support month-end close tasks related to deductions and AR.
  9. Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting team as needed.
  10. Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.

 

 

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications Required: 

  1. 2+ years of experience in accounting support, AR, or credit/collections support role.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Proficient in ERP systems.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  6. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Experience working with large retailers or key accounts, preferred.
