Lil Lumberjacks, Lil Thunder Program Aide
Position Overview
The Program Aide supports the daily operations of the Childcare and/or Preschool program by assisting with activities, ensuring a safe environment, and following established policies
Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the Childcare and/or Preschool program by assisting with activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Primary Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: - Child Supervision & Safety:
- Supervise children, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean, healthy, and supportive environment for all children.
- Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with program guidelines.
- Child Engagement & Activities:
- Actively participate in and assist with daily activities, including play, learning, and group interactions.
- Encourage positive social interactions and engagement among children.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with supervising staff, including the Coordinator, Program Manager, and Program Assistant, to implement program activities.
- Assist other Program Aides in maintaining a structured and organized environment.
Qualifications The successful candidate must have a DHS Certification under Rule 3 which includes:
Must be at least 18 years old.
First Aid and CPR certified within 90 days of hire.
DHS Background Study check.
Licensing Requirements
No licensure is required for this position.
Salary and Benefits The starting pay for this position is between $11.63 - $15.77 and is based on the School Board approved wage scale. Your initial placement is dependent on your qualifications (education and years of relevant experience).
You will be eligible for paid ESST.
