Position Overview

Align is seeking a hands-on Implementation & Operations Specialist to own and optimize the connection between our data center construction project management platform (Procore) and our cloud-based accounting system (Sage Intacct). This role bridges operations, finance, and technology, ensuring both platforms work in sync to deliver accurate data, streamlined workflows, and actionable insights for leadership.

The ideal candidate will be an operational problem-solver with a strong grasp of construction/data center financial workflows, accounting processes, and cross-department coordination. You’ll not only oversee the integration’s functionality but also lead process improvements, training, and reporting initiatives that drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

  • This hybrid role reports to the Program Manager and will primarily work remotely, with 3 days per week in our Plano, TX office.
  • This is a full-time salaried position offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training and performance-based bonuses.

Responsibilities

Operational Integration Leadership

  • Serve as the primary operational owner of the Procore-Sage Intacct integration, ensuring accurate data flow between systems.
  • Partner with project management, accounting, and leadership teams to align system processes with operational and financial goals.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of integration projects - from requirements gathering to launch, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Workflow & Process Optimization

  • Streamline finance and operations workflows (AP, AR, job costing, budgeting, and reporting) to minimize manual entry and errors.
  • Identify and implement operational best practices to enhance efficiency across teams.
  • Leverage automation tools and third-party connectors to support scalable growth.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Ensure leaders have access to real-time, accurate project and financial data.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Procore, Sage Intacct, and BI tools to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with accounting to ensure month-end close accuracy, WIP reporting, and compliance with GAAP.

Training & Change Management

  • Train finance, project managers, and operations staff on system workflows and integration best practices.
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact for operational questions, troubleshooting, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain clear documentation of workflows, SOPs, and system processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience managing Procore and Sage Intacct integrations in an operational or project management capacity.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts (job costing, WIP, commitments, retainage, etc.).
  • Proven experience streamlining workflows and improving cross-team collaboration.
  • Proficiency with Excel, data reconciliation, and system-driven reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with related integrations (e.g., Avalara, Power BI, ConnectWise).
  • Background in accounting, finance, or operational leadership (CPA, CMA, or construction accounting certification a plus).
  • Familiarity with project management best practices in the construction or data center industry.
