Who We Are

Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

Who You Are

You are an integral member of the Golden Queen team. You are a team builder, motivator, and have over 10-years of experience in precious metal crushing, heap leaching, and recovery. You will coordinate effectively with all departments to meet company goals.

As the Crusher Superintendent, you would report to the Processing Manager. This is a safety sensitive position.

What You Do

• Work closely with Processing Manager to develop and implement a safe and effective operating and maintenance program for three-stage crushing, conveying, and stacking system.
• Monitor and maintain both short term and long-term maintenance and operating schedules starting with daily checks and extending to multi-year schedules including major overhauls.
• The HPGR is a critical piece of equipment in the crushing-screening plant and will require a specific focus to ensure a successful operation.
• Manage leach pad stacking operations and maintenance.
• Assist Manager in the development and implementation strategies to achieve production goals and provide follow up to ensure targets are met.
• Assist Manager in the implementation an effective mine-to-mill program in close cooperation with the Mine for optimum overall results.
• Be actively involved in maintenance planning and equipment and operating and maintenance supplies procurement.
• Work closely with the Mine to develop information on ore variability and grade to see how this will affect aspects such as metal recovery.
• Liaise with consulting engineers and officials who work with regulatory agencies as this relates to control of emissions.
• Develop reporting procedures and reports for all facets of the crushing and stacking operation.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel, and full compliance with all directives and regulations on safety, health and the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience specific to precious metal crushing/heap leaching/recovery (HPGR experience a plus).
• At minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in relevant area;
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze/implement process improvements and optimize production;
• Ability to present information in a manner that is clear and understandable and
• Proficient in all verbal and written skills.
