NeuroPsych Wellness Center is currently seeking a Full Time Patient Support Specialist I to support the Fairfax, Virginia Clinic.

Dr. Alok Kumar, M.D., founded NeuroPsych Wellness Center, PC with the mission to provide individualized, effective, and empathetic evaluation and treatment for patients. Key Duties for Patient Support Specialist I include:
- Greet clients and visitors in a warm, professional, and respectful manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments using the practice’s scheduling software
- Collect copays and balances accurately
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, billing staff and other team members
- Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and handling correspondence
- Take incoming and make outgoing calls as needed and return voicemails
- Transcribe medication refill requests
- Create, receive, process and upload outside lab reports to patient record
- Scan and upload documents as needed into the EMR
- Verify the integrity and completeness of patient medical records and demographic information
- Maintain a clean, organized, and calming reception area
- Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: 1 year healthcare experience or 3 years of client facing concierge-equivalent customer service in lieu of healthcare
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
