Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT)Support Services. We are currently seeking a Shelf-Life Specialist to join our team of professionals in support of the NMRLC Warehouse Support Services Program.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Perform weekly and monthly analysis/verification of shelf-life material to extend expiration dates in accordance with published standards.
- Identify stock discrepancies, improperly coded items, expired material, improper stowage, labeling issues, and broken or damaged stock.
- Ensure proper testing and extension procedures are used.
- Work with NMRLC Supply Division or other supporting entities to execute and track procurement of shelf-life material.
- Conduct reviews of shelf-life maintenance procedures and report stock discrepancies to ensure 100% stock levels of valid requisitioned medical and non-medical stock.
- Perform quality assurance checks on shelf-life transaction records to verify all documents have been gained or updated correctly.
- Research quality assurance messages regarding shelf-life material using DMLSS or other military databases of record.
- Coordinate affected products/recalls with impacted work centers.
- Perform re-warehousing of material in accordance with Government stow plans.
- Perform inventory control work, including counting types, quantities, and condition of items during annual inventories, location surveys, and physical inventories.
- Handle, examine, identify, and pack material; operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE); and analyze, evaluate, and revise command inventory.
- Perform Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C) functions, packing and repacking a variety of items for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS using standard packing materials, methods, and techniques.
- Perform administrative duties such as word processing, data verification, error correction, modifying as required, and transmitting electronic mail.
- Maintain electronic documents/files and enter data into predefined spreadsheets or databases.
- Provide support in the turn-in of unserviceable shelf-life material, including reviewing disposal and turn-in documentation and verifying correct material and quantities prior to disposal or turn-in to DLA Disposition Services.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Must have experience in shelf-life management, including general supply activities, receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and operation of various types of material handling equipment.
- Previous United States military service experience a HUGE PLUS.
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and Forklift Operating License/Forklift Operating Certficiation to operate stand-up and 4–6K forklifts.
- Must be able to work a light to moderate physical effort. Requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items. May require lifting and carrying weight over 45 pounds.
- Must have the ability to read, interpret and apply reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc. to accomplish and resolve problems; the ability to read and speak the English language, correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence, reports, and transcribed material; be proficient in US standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems and office automation systems, to perform a substantial range of warehouse support; and the knowledge of basic ethical principles, telephone etiquette, excellent communications and customer service skills and ability.
