Summary/Objective
Reporting to the VP of Brand & Channel Marketing, the Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as building relationships with customers, distributors, and partners. This entails evaluating existing partnerships and sales efforts to manage key client relationships - and striving to build new ones. This role is responsible for establishing and executing plans, policies, and strategies as well as evaluating performance of growth plans in order to increase revenue and market share. This includes ensuring the business operates with high integrity, engagement, and a result-oriented culture.
Essential Functions
· Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, build strategic relationships with potential clients, and drive sustainable revenue growth
· Continuously analyze market and competitive activities to prioritize products and support development needs
· Establish strategic customer contacts, representing Lancer in the industry and the community
· Ensure synergy and alignment with corporate policy/process when applicable
· Expand market reach and forge new sales channels, ultimately contributing to the company's overall profitability
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Strong knowledge in sales, communication, negotiation, marketing, data analysis, and project management.
· Demonstrated success in developing business strategies
· Rich understanding of industry, competition, products, and services
· Ability to develop new relationships across the industry
· Forward-thinking leadership skills to propel the business
· Ability to influence, develop, and manage cross-functional teams and positively drive culture and teamwork, while creating global synergy with the Lancer business
· Being results-oriented and innovative, and having an entrepreneurial approach
Education & Experience
· A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
· 10 years of business development experience
· Proven track record of meeting sales targets
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
· Strong understanding of market trends and industry landscape
· Able to develop creative solutions to meet customers’ needs
Work Environment
This job operates in a combination of factory and professional office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
