EAST CENTRAL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT Job Announcement Maintenance Inventory Technician
The position of a Maintenance Inventory Technician will be available immediately at East Central ISD. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Perform manual and clerical inventory duties in the Maintenance/Facility Management central storage area required to receive, store, maintain stock room, and distribute supplies, materials and equipment; requisition supplies and maintain supply inventory and related records.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all aspects of the requisition, exchange, and distribution of materials in accordance with policies, and guidelines.
Implement and maintain an accountable maintenance inventory management system that ensures appropriate quantities of resources are available.
Conduct audits and physical inventory of the department’s assets.
Work with district accounting, purchasing, and distribution services to ensure the timely receipt, identification, and recording of newly acquired assets and resolve any discrepancies.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Load and unload delivery trucks as needed. Unpack items and inspect shipments for damage and defects. Address discrepancies and damage and report as needed.
Oversee the warehousing and storage of all supplies, equipment and materials signing out and inspecting tools/equipment upon return to the warehouse.
Initiate and prepare all purchase orders to maintain stock levels and ensure standard stock items are available at all times
Participate in budget development.
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly office and parts room.
Make pick up and deliveries as needed
Coordinate with the Maintenance Administrative Assistant to act as support for this role.
Maintain work order database and help ensure responsive systems to provide for customer satisfaction
All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Valid Texas Driver’s License Special Knowledge/Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Knowledge of instructional materials requisition and inventory management guidelines Ability to read and interpret documents such as government rules, procedure manuals, and safety rules Ability to develop spreadsheets and databases, do word processing, and use inventory and records management software Basic math skills Knowledge of purchasing procedures and work order system Ability to use automated inventory system
