Must be familiar with ODE Child Nutrition Lunch Guidelines.
Must have or obtain ServSafe Handler accreditation
Must have experience in school/restaurant cooking
Energetic and productive, with good student and staff rapport, and customer-oriented attitude
Must be able to maintain accurate accounts of inventory, attendance, and ordering
Able to maintain inventory and rotate products
Cashiering experience or ability to develop this skill, displaying honesty and integrity
Knowledge of proper operation of commercial equipment and safety procedures
Able to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain fast-paced production
Able to climb steps
Familiar with universal safety procedures for blood-borne pathogens and hazard communications
History of working around school-aged children preferred
GENERAL DUTIES:
Respond to directives from Cook Manager and Supervisor in a professional and cooperative manner at all times.
Prepare food.
Assist with the coordination for serving of food and adhere to planned menus.
Instruct food service employees in proper sanitation techniques, safety practices and equipment usage.
Do bookkeeping for state and federal reports.
Cashier and keep accurate accounts of lunch program procedures.
Maintain kitchen operation in absence of Cook Manager.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator.
COMPENSATION RANGE: Per negotiated agreement
