The National Health Service Core (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is open to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who are employed by accredited sites.

Case Manager Pay Range:

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education and experience as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Salary: $23.56 - $29.45 DOE $2/hr. shift differential for NOC shift

At Klamath Basin Behavioral Health, our Mobile Crisis Team responds to people in the moments they need us most. As a Night Shift Case Manager, you’ll be part of a fast-moving, compassionate team that provides rapid, on-location support anywhere in Klamath County. This is not a desk job; it’s an opportunity to meet people where they are, help them through crisis moments, and connect them to the services that can change their lives.

What Success Looks Like in This Role
In your first 6–12 months, you will:

  • Respond quickly to mental health crises, bringing calm, safety, and connection in unpredictable situations.

  • Work alongside law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure each person you meet is linked to the right care.

  • Build trust with clients by listening deeply, identifying barriers to treatment, and creating plans that help them stay engaged.

  • Complete timely, accurate documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) so your teammates have the information they need to continue care.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of community resources so you can make fast, effective referrals—and follow up to ensure clients receive support.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Meet clients in crisis where they are; at homes, schools, businesses, or in public settings; during night hours.

  • Use active listening, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills to guide people toward safety.

  • Coordinate with the Mobile Crisis Team to develop and follow through on treatment and attendance plans.

  • Provide both individual and group skills-building services as outlined in the client’s treatment plan.

  • Help clients navigate Oregon Health Plan (OHP) applications and renewals to ensure ongoing access to care.

  • Track referrals and follow up to ensure no client falls through the cracks.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA and Oregon Administrative Rules.

What You Bring
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Meet Oregon MHACBO Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) standards by either:

    • Holding a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field, OR

    • Having a combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, or training.

  • Understand mental health assessment, treatment, and service terminology, and be able to apply them in real-world situations.

  • Have the ability to develop, coordinate, and follow through on individualized service and support plans.

  • Hold a valid Oregon driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and QMHA certification throughout your employment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with adults diagnosed with mental illness or other disabilities.
