Position Title: Regional Director of Sales & Marketing
Location: Corporate Office – New York, NY
Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) / Executive Vice President (EVP)
Position Summary:
The Regional Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, market share, and brand visibility across a designated portfolio of hotels within the company’s management portfolio. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to on-property sales and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and operational excellence in achieving revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategic Direction
- Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives and maximize profitability.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to property-level Directors of Sales & Marketing and sales teams.
- Partner with General Managers, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on business strategies.
- Revenue Generation & Market Growth
- Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and competitive performance to identify new business opportunities.
- Drive market share growth in all segments including corporate, group, leisure, and transient business.
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing, inventory, and channel distribution strategies.
- Sales & Marketing Execution
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing plans, campaigns, and promotions for the assigned portfolio.
- Support hotel teams in key account management, contract negotiations, and business development efforts.
- Represent the company at major trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to strengthen relationships and attract new business.
- Brand Standards & Corporate Initiatives
- Ensure adherence to brand standards, corporate guidelines, and approved messaging in all sales and marketing efforts.
- Implement and monitor sales processes, CRM systems, and reporting tools to track progress and performance.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor revenue performance, sales activities, and marketing ROI across the portfolio.
- Prepare and present performance reports and business reviews to corporate leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-property leadership role.
- Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and market share gains.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Expertise in revenue management, digital marketing, and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
