POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager at GLI: Akron is responsible for overseeing the operational performance for Akron, OH and to maintain a safe and productive work environment. The Operations Manager will measure and maintain critical warehouse KPI’s including on time delivery, staffing, over-time, training, etc.

Warehouse Operations
- Ensure order accuracy, timely delivery, planning, and production
- Complete any warehouse role accurately and effectively
- Effectively train new and existing employees
- Documents and maintains standard work procedures and ensures that associates perform their roles according to the procedures
- Maintains organized records of operating procedures and training
- Ensures adequate cross-training
- Approves and tracks PTO and ensure adequate coverage to meet demand
- Ensures warehouse has supplies as needed
Continuous Improvement
- Monitors and reports operational KPIs
- Identifies areas of improvement and determines effective corrective action. Ensures that process improvements are documented and trained
- Works with Midwest offices to implement effective processes across the organization
- Ensure ISO 9001 Readiness
Team Building/Development
- Ensure adherence to GLR Processes
- Ensure Cross-Training and Collaboration within GLR as a whole
Customer Support
- Handles Customer Issue escalation and coordinates with the Quality Department as needed
- Completes customer surveys
- Supports operational enhancements to support customer request
Other duties as assigned

The Operations Manager must be proactive and energetic, committed to excelling at all operations aspects, essential tasks as well as committed to the team, culture and organization to maintain a well-run and respectable department. The Operations Manager position is strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to move in a fast-paced environment.
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant work experience required
Experience: 5+ Years of experience in a leadership role
Computer Skills: Advance computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerBI
Certificates & Licenses: AS400 preferred, Lean Manufacturing, 5S

- Lean Manufacturing, SSBB (Six Sigma Black Belt)
- ISO 9001:2015
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts
