As a busser, you will be responsible for providing a positive, warm guest experience, attending to tables that need bussing and being attentive to cleanliness throughout the shift. You understand the importance of excellent customer service and graciously answer any and all questions received. The busser has excellent time management skills and communication skills, striving to maintain a clean and efficient environment for customers and coworkers. You understand how to work productively in a team-oriented context. Must be able to work in a standing position for a long period of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
- Represent the restaurant with authenticity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Provide Bread and Water to new guests.
- Clean and reset tables when guests depart.
- Polish silverware and ready the restaurant for the next shift.
- Assist guest with any questions they may have.
- Assist serving staff in any way possible to insure an excellent guest experience from start to finish.
- Attend to to-go orders during the shift.
- Complete end of shift duties.
- Actively prepared to complete side work or other duties as necessary or as assigned.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures throughout the execution of tasks and responsibilities.
- Sustain the safety of the property though risk-management behavior, proper inspections, participation in Safety and Security Committee and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Following safety procedures as your role is defined.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Pay starts at: $16.50 per hour
Experience and Education:
- Previous experience as a busser preferred.
- Must be able to stay focused, alert, upbeat, outgoing and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to clearly communicate guests’ needs to staff.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
