Job Description Summary:
The Wash Bay Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and biosecurity of maintenance vehicles and equipment through proper washing and disinfecting procedures. This role also involves transporting pressure washers and equipment, performing light maintenance and troubleshooting on pressure washing units, assisting with trailer deliveries, and supporting general shop operations and projects. The position is primarily Monday through Friday, with all tools, equipment, and vehicles provided by the company.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and disinfect maintenance vehicles according to established procedures and biosecurity standards.
- Set up, pick up, and deliver pressure washers and other equipment to various company locations as needed.
- Perform general maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on pressure washers and related equipment.
- Operate trailers and vehicles to safely transport equipment and tools.
- Assist maintenance team with various shop projects and support tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of wash bay and shop work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies during vehicle/equipment handling and disinfection.
- Accurately complete any required documentation or logs related to tasks performed.
- Communicate equipment issues or concerns promptly to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; trailer towing experience strongly preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with pressure washer maintenance a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in wet/dirty conditions for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as required.
Work Environment:
- Primarily outdoor and shop environment with exposure to water, cleaning agents, dust, and noise.
- May require use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) depending on task and location.
- Regular use of hand tools and pressure washing equipment.
