JOB TITLE: Head Cook   

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT:  Child Development Center

SUPERVISOR:  Director of Child Care 

PAY RANGE: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

FLSA: Non-Exempt

ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS:

• Your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, $140.00 Employee plus family. 

JOB SUMMARY – Has Primary Responsibility for all phases of Cafeteria Food Service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Menu Planning
• Food ordering and requisitioning
• Preparation of meals and snack
• Supervision and Maintenance of kitchen/cafeteria

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform other duties and projects as required by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Attend 20 hours of training a year in food services or related field
• Must pass an OSBI background check
• Must have CPR and First Aid Certification
• Must be enthusiastic
• Must have professional conduct at all times
• Must have a genuine love and concern for children
• Must be able to stay calm in emergency situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting or standing or walking for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing, and visual acuity
• May require occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Food service environment
