Additional Information: Show/Hide Westbrook High School Athletic Trainer 2025-2026 School Year The Athletic Trainer will assist high school athletes with injury recovery and prevention, strength and conditioning training, as well as run professional development as needed for coaches as it relates to wellness and fitness of athletes, including CPR/AED/First Aid training and support. Experience working with high school and/or college athletes preferred.
Desired but not required: The ideal candidate would have some Spanish language skills as well as a willingness to support future course development for students who may wish to pursue related sports and healthcare fields and training programs.
Start Date: August 18, 2025 10 month position (mid-August to mid-June)
40 hours per week (Monday-Friday afternoons/evenings plus Saturdays as needed aligned to season schedule) Hours are flexible and aligned to high school practice and game schedules for each sport season and determined by the WHS Principal and Dean of Students, Activities, and Athletics. Salary Range : $75,000-$80,000 plus benefits
Qualifications: -experience working as a high school and/or college athletic trainer -certified CPR/First Aid/AED -certified Athletic Trainer in the state of Connecticut -Bachelor or Master degree in athletic training or relevant field -Strength and Conditioning Certification preferred
