Purpose To oversee the operations and scheduling of the school auditorium; ensure that the auditorium venue is well-managed, safe, and accessible for school events, productions, assemblies, and community usage; performs related work as required.
Supervision Received and Exercised Receives general supervision from assigned administrative staff; and may receive technical and functional direction from the Chief of Operations. This position provides technical and functional direction to assigned staff.
Incumbents initially perform the more routine duties assigned to positions in this class and work under close supervision. As experience is gained, incumbents are expected to perform the full range of duties as assigned with increasing independence. The primary duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.
Essential Duties
Coordinate and schedule the use of the auditorium for school events, assemblies, rehearsals, and outside rentals, ensuring there are no conflicts.
Act as the primary contact for staff, student groups, and external users to coordinate event setup, technical needs, and rehearsal times; ensure proper setup and teardown of equipment and other logistical details are arranged for each event
Maintain a calendar of events, coordinating with administrative staff to publicize and communicate upcoming events.
Coordinate support staff to oversee and operate sound, lighting, and projection equipment for all events in the auditorium.
Ensure that all technical equipment is in working order; perform regular checks and make minor repairs as necessary.
Coordinate and oversee student technicians or volunteers in the operation of audio-visual and lighting systems.
Serve as the point of contact to ensure the auditorium is cleaned and restored to its standard layout after each use.
Monitor the condition of auditorium facilities, including seating, stage, lighting, and sound equipment, and work with the AP of Ed Services to address needs.
Maintain an inventory of auditorium equipment and supplies, reporting any needs to the Assistant Principal of Education Services or Athletic Director.
Ensure safety and compliance of staff, students, and public.
Work closely with teachers, coaches, and administrators to support school programs and performances.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide a smooth and organized experience for event participants and attendees.
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of theatre management, stage management and production crew operations.
Principles and practices of leadership, motivation, team building and conflict resolution; principles and practices of supervision, training and personnel management.
Operation of a personal computer and job-related software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, database creation and maintenance, information storage and retrieval, and related tasks.
Current office practices and procedures.
Effective data collection, analysis, and interpretation for instructional decision-making.
Strong written and verbal communication strategies for students, staff, and the public..
Compliance with Idaho Code and school policies related to student conduct and safety.
Ability to:
Plan and oversee theatre productions.
Schedule events and crew for various productions.
Work collaboratively with diverse cultural and ethnic groups in a tactful and effective manner.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other District employees, supervisory personnel, and the public.
Supervise, train and evaluate personnel.
Operate modern office equipment, including computers and appropriate software.
Demonstrate strong punctuality, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to read, analyze, and understand work-related materials and data.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and cleanliness.
Maintain regular attendance and adhere to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities.

Qualifications Any equivalent combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
High school degree or equivalent.
Prior experience in performing arts, event management, or facility management highly desired.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Must have a valid Idaho drivers license and a vehicle to drive and/or they must provide their own transportation for job related activities.
The job related travel during the day will be reimbursed at the approved state mileage reimbursement rate.
Essential Physical Abilities
