JOB PURPOSE

Fabric Care is one of the biggest categories in Unilever and the largest category in Home Care. Consisting of Fabric Cleaning and Fabric Enhancers, comprising beloved brands such as Dirt 4 Good, Surf, Comfort and Snuggle. 

This position offers a unique opportunity within the Global Fabric Enhancers R&D Design team at Port Sunlight, UK, where you'll work with cutting-edge technology in a truly purpose-driven culture.

The Product Performance, Claims & KBS Leader will be central to the growth ambition of Fabric Enhancers, supporting the full programme from new technologies and chassis to innovations landing across the global markets. You will have the opportunity to transform our measurement capabilities to be future fit, enhance claim development and support ways of working, deliver product demonstrations and knowledge-based selling (KBS) that elevate our innovations.

In this role, collaboration is key. You will closely partner with Technical Project Leaders (TPLs) and broader project teams; as well as New Technology, Consumer Insights (CI), Regulatory and Legal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Core member of the global Fabric Enhancers Homecare Innovation leadership team.
  • Product Performance, Claims and KBS team leadership and line management.
  • Partner with Brand and Technical Project Leaders (TPLs) to develop claims and KBS roadmaps for fabric enhancers innovations.
  • Work with the internal peers (leaders of equivalent teams for other Home Care formats) to enhance overall Home Care capabilities for Product Performance, Claims and KBS.
  • Work with external partners to bring in new ways of accessing and demonstrating product performance and technologies mode of action.
  • Build a culture of digital first mindset, leading the team for 100% data capture, adoption of new tools and agile ways of working.

Key Skills:

  • Project Leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Expertise in formulation and performance testing.
  • Analytical capability and comfortable with digital approaches to research.
  • High level of interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across teams and cultures in a collaborative way.

Relevant Experience:

  • Chemical, analytical or consumer science degree with several years industrial experience.
  • Experience in product and technology development.
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience in management of external programs and partnerships is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Home Care products / category would be an advantage.
