Salary Range: Range 110 - starting at $16.22 * Salary placement will be made by HR upon hiring
* Additional funds may be awarded for college credit earned beyond a high school diploma
SUMMARY
Maintains school library collections of books, serial publications, documents, audiovisual, and other materials; assists groups and individuals in locating and obtaining materials and plans and administers program of library services. Compiles records, sorts and shelves books, and issues and receives library materials by performing the following duties. Plus teaching art to all grade levels K-5. Classified position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
* Promotes Library services and use; furnishes information on library activities, facilities, rules and services.
*Teach K-5 students on weekly basis the aspects of using a library
*Read/Instructs classes each week.
*Integrate School resources and goals into lessons.
* Provides library public relations services.
* Locates books and publications for students and staff.
* Maintains current patron and media database on computer.
* Reviews records to compile list of overdue books and issues overdue notices to borrowers.
* Inspects returned books for damage, verifies due date, and computes and receives overdue fines.
* Sorts books, publications, and other items according to classification code and returns them to shelves, files.
* Operates Library machines and multimedia equipment.
* Analyzes, selects, and executes recommendations of principal.
* Reviews and evaluates orders for books and audiovisual materials.
*Organize and supervise school wide book fairs.
* Examines and selects materials to be discarded, repaired or replaced.
* Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
* Associate of Arts Degree or 60 college credit hours is required
* Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP# required
