Position Duties
Plans, coordinates, and leads daily indoor/outdoor recreational activities Secures and maintains all materials and equipment for assigned programs Supervises youth and sports activities and maintains order and discipline Prepares recommendations for new program development or program revisions to meet community needs Responds to comments, questions, and complaints from program participants Plans and conducts special events Observes necessary precautions to secure the safety of recreation participants and spectators and renders routine first aid in cases of minor injury Maintains such records as attendance, program activities, volunteer participation, and special events activities Prepares promotional materials for the program such as brochures, fliers, and posters Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age or older - Ability to pass a background check completed by the City of Auburn
- Ability to complete First Aid/CPR
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings
- One (1) year experience in a community-based recreation program
- Current State of Washington driver's license
