Job Description:

 Physician responsibilities will be to provide quality care to the patients in the community. They will communicate with patients, nurses, doctors and other members of a care team to explain the diagnosis, determine the best course of treatment and follow up on recovery. They stay current with medical practice standards and laws. The key duties of a physician are to:
• Order tests and analyze their results.
• Refer patients to specialists as required.
• Create treatment plans and implement them accordingly.
• Explain side effects of medications and treatment options.
• Perform basic medical procedures.
• Record medical encounters on the approved electronic medical record program.
• Identify symptoms and diagnose patients.
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle 
issues.
 

Qualifications:

Degree in medicine from an approved Medical School 
Eligible to register with the CPSA
