PURPOSE
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program for students to perform instructional activities in support of the prescribed lesson plan; assisting in providing a safe, healthy environment for students; and performing a variety of general clerical duties.

PURPOSE
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.

Start date: August 28, 2025
Type: Classified
Hours per day: 6.25 hrs (5.75 hrs ESSA IA / .5 hr ESSA SPIA)
Status: Temporary, until June 10, 2026
Hourly Range: $19.19- $24.61 ESSA IA / $22.26 - $28.39 ESSA SPIA  (Hourly range is based on the 2024-25 range and is subject to change)

What is ESSA?
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing and math.
