Typically provides direct clinical support to one or more clinicians. Demonstrating a high level of competence provides back-up coverage for support staff. Works to improve clinical efficiencies of the operation by determining urgency and priority of walk-ins, add-on patients and patient consults. Associate%27s degree in medical assisting or graduate of medical assistant certification program preferred. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred.
