About the Department

The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service; greeting guests; conducting membership, pass and pro-shop sales, monitoring on ice activities, light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. This position performs cash handling duties and conducts transactions with a computerized point-of-sale system, and also coordinates equipment needs, performs facility checks, and handles facility reservations.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Must have a suitable level of High School education.
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience required.
- One (1) or more years of cash-handling experience required.
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- Two (2) or more years of customer service experience with cash-handling preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service experience in the recreation or hospitality industry desired.
- One (1) or more years of retail experience preferred.
- Intermediate or higher level ice skating skills desired.
- Knowledge and/or experience with organized hockey and/or figure skating programs desired.
Other Qualifications
Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this position are typically opening shifts from Wednesday to Sunday, with a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. This position would ideally work through March 2026. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, and holidays.
