QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be NH certified and Highly Qualified in Elementary Education and possess knowledge of Common Core State Standards in Math and Literacy, a deep understanding of research and evidence based practices for teaching K-5 instruction, experience as a coach or mentor, ability to determine and implement best practices for assessing student achievement, experience developing or supporting curriculum and ability to demonstrate instructional leadership skills to promote increased teacher performance and student achievement. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills to maintain high visibility and active involvement in school relationships, to implement school goals, objectives and philosophies. Qualities sought include excellent verbal and written communications skills, use of technology, and the ability to plan and collaborate effectively.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Instructional Coach will provide support for high level instruction and curriculum for members of the school community by establishing clear goals for instruction, coaching teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional practices associated with a comprehensive instructional program, and modeling lessons in both literacy and mathematics. They will provide feedback on effectiveness, establish and support a peer mentoring support network, design professional development that is analytical, reflective, and facilitate collaboration to support curriculum goals.
