PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Warehouse Foreman’s primary purpose is to receive, stock, and supervise delivery of Food Service merchandise to cafeterias.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate or GED required Dependable and cooperative Must be certified to operate a forklift or ability to obtain certification Must have and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license and be insurable At least three years in warehouse operations Computer knowledge required
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible to maintain the warehouse clean, orderly, and safe at all times. • Ensures that an adequate inventory of Food Service supplies and materials is kept. • Label and record all inventory items as they are received. • Ensures that all food and non-food orders are successfully delivered in a timely manner. • Accountable for receiving and distribution of Food Service supplies. • Supervise and assign Food Service delivery personnel. • Perform periodical and end of year inventory. • Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USED: • District vehicle, forklift, hand truck, personal computer, calculator, copier, two-way radio, and other office equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors: • Maintain emotional control under stress, frequent district travel, frequent standing, stooping, bending, heavy lifting and carrying, outdoor and indoor work, exposure to heat and cold, repetitive hand motion
