Reports to: Director of Quality Assurance and Corporate Compliance

Rate of Pay: $20.10 - $23.23

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, weekdays


Position Summary: Responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and daily operations of agency-wide quality and compliance programs. Assists the Quality & Compliance Manager in executing the Quality Management Program and work plan, as well as assists in quality and regulatory compliance initiatives, including UDS, CQL initiatives, Patient/Person Satisfaction, and OPWDD DQI.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the implementation of the organization’s Quality Improvement Plan and participates in Workgroup meetings.
  • Participates in Bi-weekly Quality Workgroup meetings.
  • Attends other meetings as needed.
  • Audits/monitors policies and procedures and issues corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform audits related to compliant billing, fire drills, personal finances, medication records, and other identified areas.
  • Creates corrective actions based on findings of the audits.
  • Sends corrective actions/plans of corrective actions to the responsible department managers.
  • Works with staff to ensure plans are adjusted as needed.
  • Assists with the enforcement of the Quality Assurance Plan and Corporate Compliance work plan.
  • Ensures departments stay informed of relevant regulatory updates.
  • Stays current on regulations and standards through the use of websites, email list services, training programs, webinars, and conferences.
  • Provides updates on regulatory changes to the Quality and Compliance Manager as they occur.
  • Performs other duties as requested.


Requirements

  • 1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2. Associate’s degree in healthcare field preferred and/or 1+ years’ experience in healthcare and/or quality initiatives preferred.
  • 3. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of database management principles essential.
  • 4. Strong organizational, computer and information management skills.
  • 5. Knowledge of eClinicalWorks & eVero electronic medical records preferred.
  • 6. NYS Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle for business use.
  • 7. Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with issues.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Sedentary work; ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Excellent hand eye coordination.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to tolerate extensive exposure to computer monitor/screen.
  • Ability to tolerate extensive use of computer keyboard.
  • Ability to travel frequently between agency locations.
