Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations with a specific focus on paint system maintenance and preventative maintenance programs. This role is critical to ensuring that paint application equipment, booths, ovens, conveyors, and related systems are operating efficiently and safely to meet production and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on paint systems, including spray booths, ovens, filtration systems, pumps, and conveyors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of paint equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation using CMMS or manual tracking systems.
  • Monitor and maintain proper operation of environmental controls, ventilation, and filtration within the paint area to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist with installation, setup, and calibration of new paint system equipment or components.
  • Identify potential issues in paint equipment before failures occur and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure paint processes meet manufacturing specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and safe handling of hazardous materials used in the paint process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with paint systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of paint application equipment, including spray guns, robotic applicators, paint booths, ovens, and air systems.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and tools such as CMMS.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
  • Experience working with PLCs, HVAC, or ventilation systems is a plus.
