Own the technical direction for Gallup’s growth stack. 

As a staff engineer focused on growth, you’ll be the technical leader driving our top-of-funnel strategy, from first touch to signed contract. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with significant influence as you deliver scalable, high-performance systems that transform first impressions into loyal Gallup customers. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Architect and implement end-to-end systems that drive growth initiatives, including acquisition, sales enablement, personalization and ecommerce
  • Translate product vision into technical strategy and lead roadmap execution, working closely with product, design and analytics partners in the Product Operating Model
  • Promote engineering excellence by mentoring senior engineers and advancing best practices in system design, implementation, testing and documentation
  • Explore and deploy emerging technologies — such as generative AI, A/B testing frameworks and personalization engines — while staying current with trends in AI, analytics, event-driven architecture and growth engineering
  • Contribute to data governance by advocating for privacy, integrity and accessibility in how behavioral and funnel data are tracked, stored and used

What You Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • At least seven years of software engineering experience required
  • At least three years leading architecture conversations and technical strategy for complex systems — particularly in growth, personalization or experimentation domains — required
  • Experience building a system for sales and marketing for a software or services company required
  • Proven expertise building and running event-driven systems and distributed architectures on cloud platforms required; AWS is a plus
  • Proven expertise with modern web frameworks and data platforms supporting both real-time and batch pipelines required
  • Proficiency in .NET preferred
  • Familiarity with Aurora MySQL preferred
  • Must live within a 60-mile radius of San Francisco 
  • A commitment to working on-site at a local Gallup workspace in San Francisco at least three days a week required

We also offer an estimated annual salary range of $200,000-$250,000 for this role. Salaries are based on a variety of factors, including an individual’s education, experience and skills.
