What You'll Do:
- Evaluate and provide care for patients of all ages with non-life-threatening conditions.
- Perform essential urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, plain film imaging, and EKGs, and prescribe medications through our efficient EMR system.
- Collaborate with radiology and telehealth specialists to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
- Document patient visits in real-time, completing all charting before your shift ends—no work during your off-hours!
- Enjoy a balanced lifestyle with a rotating schedule of three shifts one week and four shifts the next.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Unrestricted Alabama medical license or an active application, along with a DEA registration.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; DOT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- A minimum of one year of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
- Ability to manage three to four patients per hour comfortably.
