We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Document Specialist to join our team. As a Loan Document Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing, preparing, and managing loan documents to support our homeownership lending function. This includes the initial intake of documents: checking-in, prepping, scanning, indexing, verifying, and delivery of those documents. In This Role, You Will:

  • Ensure all incoming mail and documents are processed timely, including opening and logging all contents onto a spreadsheet, preparing documents (pulling staples, unfolding and flattening), and looking up loan numbers
  • Scan, split, and index all notes, and put them back together for transfer
  • Prepare trailing documents and clear conditions in LC, scan and index TD, put the TD back together, and ship GNMA TD, MSO Conv TD, and log all subordinate TD
  • Remove staples, look up loan numbers, and write loan numbers and pool numbers on documents, and flip through each page in preparation to be fed through the scanner, ensuring conditions are cleared in LC for the document you are prepping
  • Provide excellent customer service to document custodians, lenders, partner HFA's, and internal teams, fostering excellent relationships and ensuring customer service needs are met while following guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in training and cross-training on an individual basis with department staff and foster a team atmosphere

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, 10-key skills, and clear handwriting
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong PC and communication skills
  • Self-directed and motivated performer with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to participate in training and other educational classes that benefit the association and the individual
  • Strong team player who is committed to working towards the association's goals
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
