Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Prepare patient for examination by obtaining vital signs and escorting them to the appropriate exam room.
- Assists patients as needed with mobility, dressing, positioning, and transfers.
Clinical and Administrative Support
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms following sanitation protocols and ensures supplies are stocked.
- Completes assigned clinical documentation, messages, and tasks within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Facilitate communication between patients and the care team by handling phone calls, messages, and relaying clinical information appropriately.
- Coordinates follow-up appointments, referrals, and procedure scheduling per provider direction.
- Monitors and replenishes inventory, notifying leadership of supply needs.

- Practices universal precautions and adheres to infection control standards and hazardous waste procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or requested in support of clinic operations.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent (or ability to obtain within four months of hire).
- Eligible to take and pass the state competency and skills testing for registry status.
Licensure and Certification
- Completion of state-approved Nurse Aid Training preferred.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver patient care with empathy and professionalism.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, correspondence, and medical documents.
- Ability to write simple correspondence clearly and accurately.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
