Hybrid General Laborer - Apprentice at Skillforce

About the Role:

Skillforce is seeking General Laborers to support data center construction projects in the Reno, NV area. This is a long-term project offering 40+ hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. The role involves assisting skilled tradespeople by performing essential physical tasks that contribute to the safe and efficient completion of construction work.

Pay: Up to $23/hour (depending on experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.

• Basic understanding of construction site safety practices, with a willingness to follow all safety protocols.

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in Reno, NV.

• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must own basic hand tools.

• Availability to work over 40 hours per week (overtime).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or other physically demanding roles.

• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training certification.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled tradespeople by performing manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and transporting materials.

• Prepare and maintain clean, organized work areas by removing debris and setting up equipment.

• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, following safety guidelines.

• Follow directions from supervisors and tradespeople to support all phases of construction work.

• Report any hazards, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to the site supervisor.
