Inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Learns and/or performs routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraft
Performs structural repairs and modifications
Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work
Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
Meets or beats flat rates for most of the assigned tasks
Understands and follows all safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner
Responsible for completing training syllabus for advancement to next level
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in general aviation preferred
Minimum two (2) years’ performing structural repairs and modifications with Sheet Metal
Experience working with composite materials a plus
Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal assembly techniques required
Ability to read blueprints and schematics required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
Organized and detail oriented
Airframe Certification preferred for entry and mid level position / Required for senior level position
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights, Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
