We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our kitchen staff. This role is vital to the success of our culinary operations, focusing on preparing fresh, high-quality ingredients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and wash fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients based on the daily menu requirements.
- Ensure all food items are prepped and organized for seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness in prep areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist chefs with cooking tasks and plating dishes as needed.
- Properly store and label all food items to ensure freshness and compliance with guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to support efficient service and food presentation.
- Participate in inventory management and maintain stock levels for kitchen supplies.
Requirements
- Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a Prep Cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is essential.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in food preparation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
