Description
Are you an experienced billing professional with a passion for leadership and process improvement? Complete Health is looking for a dedicated Billing Manager to lead our billing team and support the financial operations of our mission-driven health center in Rapid City, SD. This is a full-time, exempt position, and reports to Revenue Cycle Director.
About the Role:
As the Billing Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our billing department, including A/R Coordinators, Collections Agents, and Credentialing. You will play a key role in developing standardized billing procedures, monitoring claims and denials, training staff, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all billing functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support, and monitor KPIs with billing department staff across accounts receivable, collections, and credentialing.
- Develop and implement standardized billing procedures and training programs.
- Monitor and manage insurance denials, rebill claims, and ensure accurate electronic claim submissions.
- Educate staff on payer policy updates and best practices.
- Review and process refunds, and reconcile/post insurance payments.
- Track and manage accounts receivable to meet monthly revenue goals and deadlines.
- Serve as the billing department liaison at internal and external meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service in resolving patient billing inquiries.
- Correspond with EMR, software vendors, etc.
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant billing experience, including supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of billing for Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, workers’ comp, and motor vehicle claims.
- Experience with electronic health record systems (AthenaOne preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
