The Spa Concierge is responsible for the reception area at the spa including greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and products. This position is also responsible for booking appointments, checking the guest into the computer system, and charging for services performed.
Responsibilities:
- Properly open and close spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments.
- Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features and hours of operation.
- Maintain the spa register through proper open, pre-close and close procedures, and communicate any discrepancies to management.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Assist with scheduled retail inventory.
- Warmly welcome spa guests and provide attentive, gracious service throughout their visit
- Ensure locker rooms, treatment areas, lounges, and wet zones reflect the high standards of The Westgate brand
- Prepare and reset treatment rooms before and after services with cleanliness and care
- Maintain inventory and restock towels, robes, spa amenities, and refreshments as needed
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in all areas, including steam rooms, saunas, showers, and pools
- Support spa therapists and front desk staff with operational needs and guest requests
- Provide general information about spa services, hotel offerings, and local recommendations when appropriate
Qualifications:
- Stand for extended periods and ascend/descend stairs as a daily routine.
- Must be able to comprehend reading materials and proficiency in English.
- Must interact with co-workers positively and understand what TEAM means.
- Must be adaptable to change and be able to multitask calmly and efficiently, with an emphasis on follow up, cooperation, and courtesy.
- Knowledgeable of the spa environment and experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal, guest service, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
