The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

Your new responsibilities

In this position your duties will include troubleshooting and repair of electronic control systems for high speed automotive lamp making equipment. You will work closely with production personnel, supervision, and engineering. You will solve machine issues using proven troubleshooting techniques, engineering drawings, machine programs, and technical manuals. You will use a variety of test equipment, perform PM tasks, and work on continuous improvement projects. Systems include PLCs, robots, lasers, servos and various welding technologies on traditional and modern machinery.

  • Troubleshoot machine control systems and make effective repairs to minimize downtime using machine electrical prints, PLC software, digital multimeter, and other various test equipment.
  • Perform monthly periodic maintenance.
  • Program and or modify PLC based electrical machine control systems as needed for minor project work.
  • Layout, build, wire, test, and install new systems into existing equipment as part of our continuous improvement program.
  • Maintain PLC and other programs and electrical prints and fill out service logs and communicate with co-workers.


What we look for


  • Associate's degree in Electronics/Robotics or related military career experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience with power electronics circuits, digital and/or analog control circuits.
  • Experience with servo systems, motor drives, robots, PLC’s preferred.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks effectively.
