Pay Range: 100-120K 

 

The ME Technical Project Manager (ME TPM) is responsible for defining and prioritizing the ME tasks to streamline the execution of development activities. The ME Technical Project Manager is the interface to internal and external stakeholders and the main contact person for all technical Project Management topics. Responsible for delivering the technical subsystem content of the Mechanical Engineering discipline for a project. Leads and coordinates the technical activities performed by the ME development teams (estimation, planning, task assignment ...) and escalates issues which cannot be solved within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Development of mechanical or electromechanical concepts within Power Electronics, driven by functional, material, economic, and production technologies related targets
  • Creation and execution of discipline specific project planning (e.g. timing, effort estimation)
  • Manage all mechanical relevant project activities based on Vitesco Technologies Process Tree development process
  • Drive project decisions
  • Approves the technical solution of the mechanical Subsystem and drives the ME Release.
  • Ensures that the mechanical design fulfills all requirements and has the required technical maturity.
  • Responsible within project for ME Change Management
  • Leading of discipline specific reviews and releases to ensure technical functionality and quality (e.g. requirements, concepts, FMEA, Bill of Materials, milestones)
  • Communication interface for mechanical design to internal and external customers
  • Project specific collaboration with other disciplines (e.g. internal stakeholders, prototype shop, plant)
  • Support project reporting of Project Manager and System Technical Project Lead (S-TPL)
  • Manage change requests and evaluate their impact on the time schedule, effort/cost, quality and approve them
  • Identify, record and track non-conformances according to applicable problem resolution process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable/relevant field of study
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Automotive Industry required
  • Very good knowledge of design of mechanical and mechatronic components for High Voltage (800 V) Power Electronics products for the automotive powertrain
  • Experience in project management methods and tools
  • Knowledge of the ME development process in automotive area
  • Experience with using Creo CAD system and Windchill product data management
  • Experience working within a multicultural team
