A family in South Austin is seeking a loving, dependable babysitter to care for their 2-month-old daughter on an as-needed basis. They are looking for someone with flexibility, infant care experience, and a desire to build a long-term, trusting relationship. Home is tidy and has good vibes.
- Start date: ASAP
- Length of position: Long-term-ongoing
- Estimated at least 100 hours per year
- Schedule: As-needed basis
- Date Nights / Days: Occasional care 3-8 hrs per sit.
- Notice Provided: At least 48 hours' notice for scheduled care
- Compensation: $30/hour, based on experience
- 1 Child: 2-month-old daughter
Responsibilities
- Provide overall care for the child (e.g., feeding, diapering, soothing, following nap schedules, giving medication (mylicon)
- Light housekeeping related to child (e.g., washing bottles, tidying up the child's space)
- Engage in age-appropriate activities (e.g., tummy time, sensory play)
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Minimum 3 years of professional infant care experience
- Comfortable with a friendly, older 50 lb dog, and a cat
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Reliable
Compensation + Benefits
Position pays $30 per hour and care will be needed on an as-needed basis for date nights/days. This is a long-term, ongoing position.
